I Can on God Implicitly Rely

I can on God
implicitly rely,
who stands in all events
my person by.
It’s God whose love
into my prison breaks,
who leads me out
and makes my soul relax.

Though I may go
through nights of dark despair
and reach the very depth
of thoughts that scare,
not even then
will I give in to fear
for I am still convinced
my God is near.

With all my heart
I put my trust in God,
who wills for all creation
what is good.
Wherever I may go,
God too will come,
whose loving presence
makes me feel at home.
